Unless you’ve been living under a rock I am sure you have heard of the massive Honshu Japan earthquake and the devastation it has caused in Japan. This is the largest earthquake Japan has had in its recorded history. And there have been over 150 aftershock earthquakes many of which are sizable in and of themselves. So over the past several days Japan has been the recipient of over 150 earthquakes.
This means that every few minutes they are constantly being reminded of these earthquakes by the ground shaking with a new one. And the frightening possibility is always there that the next one could be just as powerful or even more powerful then the largest one (the one that registered between an 8.8 and an 8.9 on the Richter scale).
There were actually smaller earthquakes prior to the big one that may or may not have been able to be used to predict the big one and hasten evacuation of the low-lying areas. But many experts that I’ve heard on the news state you cannot predict earthquakes at all. All you can know is where active fault zones are and where earthquakes are most likely to occur.
What do you think about the Honshu Japan earthquake? I read somewhere that a few people (psychics and such) have actually predicted a great earthquake in Japan. One even predicted a series that would end in the outright failure or abandonment of Japan. One even says this is a precursor to World War 3 and the end times (remember the date December 21, 2012 that is supposed to be the date of the end of the world according to the Mayans).
Now I don’t know if these are true or not, but those are scary predictions nonetheless. I wonder what our readers have to say about this or what their thoughts are? Is anyone planning on taking a trip to Japan to help out?
